The Care Initiative is a youth-led nonprofit creating and delivering care packages to cancer patients — bringing comfort, dignity, and a reminder that someone is rooting for them.

Inside a package
Made by hand. Sent with heart.
Every package is hand-assembled by student volunteers and delivered to hospital partners within the week. The contents are small, but the message is loud.

Our story
It started with one note.
After watching a family member go through chemotherapy, our founder noticed how lonely the in-between moments could be. A single handwritten card turned into a box of comfort items — and then a movement of students choosing to show up.
What started as one student's small act has grown into a community of young volunteers showing up, packing boxes, and writing notes — because care, when it's given freely, has a way of multiplying.
